For Individuals Seeking Therapy

Together we will explore, make meaning of, grieve, and heal from your past in order to enjoy the present and create a future that feels authentic and wholehearted.

As a clinical psychologist, I do my best work with adults who didn't get the chance to have great childhoods.  People come to me who have been diagnosed with or who have experienced childhood trauma, neglect, complex PTSD, complex relational trauma,  or early developmental trauma.  People seek help when their lives may look great on paper, but they feel lousy on the inside.  They want something better for their lives, and yet they don't know where to begin or how to make it happen. Perhaps they have tried therapy before, only to feel frustrated.

If this sounds like you, I hope to support you on your journey to enjoying your best possible life.

In my clinical practice, I assess and treat individual adults. I create a safe and non-judgemental space for people experiencing relationship and interpersonal difficulties, (including separation and divorce transitions), parenting challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and workplace struggles.

In our first visit, we will identify your therapeutic goals and determine how these can best be achieved in our work together. We will focus on what is most important for you and tailor the therapy to suit your needs and preferences. I can help you make positive changes in your life and develop optimal coping strategies to manage difficult situations that may seem out of your control. I have extensive experience coaching, mentoring, and leading people to find their own best solutions to challenging circumstances. Therapy can be life-changing when the person feels seen, heard, understood, and warmly accepted by the therapist. The therapeutic relationship succeeds when it is built on a foundation of safety, trust, respect, and collaboration.
